Bluestem Heritage was honored to be invited to work on the creation of a history and the interpretation of the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation’s Frogtown Gardens property.
This inspiring park has a unique geology and history, and we enjoyed researching and uncovering the history of the area, including its role as a home to the Sisters of the Good Shepherd and their home for wayward women and girls, the headquarters for the Wilder Foundation, and the geological history of the adjacent gravel yards.
We captured this history through the Frogtown Park and Gardens History (pdf) and three signs. Two of these signs were installed in October 2015. Look for the third next summer when the park expands!
